Ancient Warrior Buried with Bull in Iran

Archeologists have unearthed the ancient grave of a Timurid soldier who was buried with a bull, war wares and dishes in northwestern Iran.

Archeologists believe the soldier would have been greatly respected, and enjoyed a high social position in his time. In addition to the bull, the ancient warrior was buried with a sword, an arrowhead and a dagger.

Similar burial rituals have previously been discovered in the region, but horses and sheep were used in the ceremony instead of a bull.
